This was the last 2015 NOI Event before our Christmas Party!!!
What makes our group unique?
The ladies who are part of it! And the openness we have when it comes to sharing, commenting, asking. This is what keeps NOI and our projects alive.
In this event we tried to tackle an issue that many of us raised: FEAR.
Fear can have multiple facets: fear of judgment, fear of being rejected by a client, fear of pitching, fear of public speaking, fear of not being able to make it, fear of making the leap, fear of not being good at our new job, fear of being an impostor (oh yes, ever heard about the impostor syndrome?)
FEAR is a universal feeling that may get us into a lot of trouble. It can slow us down, even paralyse us.
So why “fear and laughter”? Well, it is impossible not to have fear. But it is possible to control it and give it the right importance…and why not even have a laugh about it sometimes!
We met Deena Gornick, who helped us turn our fears into something else, something powerful for us. We walked out of the room with feelings of peace and gratitude for a wonderful woman who found a way to touch all our hearts!
